The Konjac Facial Sponge with added Bamboo Charcoal has a flat side and rounded side. And it does an excellent job of exfoliating and cleansing the face. The sponge is rock hard when you open the package, but after getting it wet, the sponge gets very squishy and soft. It re-hardened after each use and continues to work just fine.

I use it with my facial cleanser every morning and it leaves my face looking healthy and refreshed! (I have oily skin) I alway feel my face a lot cleaner, less oily, and smoother after using it.
