Take Me Home for Christmas by Brenda Novak Review

Christmas is a time for remembering…

Too bad not all memories are pleasant! Everyone in Whiskey Creek remembers Sophia DeBussi as the town's Mean Girl. Especially Ted Dixon, whose love she once scorned.

But Sophia has paid the price for her youthful transgressions. The man she did marry was rich and powerful but abusive. So when he goes missing, she secretly hopes he'll never come back—until she learns that he died running from an FBI probe of his investment firm. Not only has he left Sophia penniless, he's left her to face all the townspeople he cheated.

Sophia is reduced to looking for any kind of work to pay the bills and support her daughter. With no other options, she becomes housekeeper for none other than Ted, now a successful suspense writer. He can't bring himself to turn his back on her, not at Christmas, but he refuses to get emotionally involved. He learned his lesson the last time.

Or will the season of love and forgiveness give them both another chance at happiness?

Fitbit One Review

Get fit. Sleep better. All in the One™

THE ONE™ WIRELESS ACTIVITY & SLEEP TRACKER
If you want to turn fitness into a lifestyle, the One™ is for you. For starters, it never rests. During the day, it tracks your steps, distance, calories burned, and stairs climbed. Come nightfall, it measures your sleep quality, helps you learn how to sleep better, and wakes you in the morning. The One™ motivates you to reach your goals by bringing greater fitness into your life – seamlessly, socially, 24 hours a day.

This is the best tiny exercise coach you could have! Super easy to set up, very intuitive. It's very simple to clip it on and input your daily food into the online tracker. I love that it counts your steps, your stairs, your total miles and shows you if you've burned off enough calories to hit your weekly weight loss goal. FitBit has a great mobile and online dashboard that is color coded to show you at a glance how close you are to reaching your goal (I absolutely love, love, love the Fitbit dashboard). The Fitbit One holds its charge for about a week. It is splash proof and sweat proof. No regrets, it is truly fantastic and it will help motivate you to lose weight.
My sister (She has the Fitbit Zip) and I both had Fitbits (My dog broke mine a week ago and it doesn't work at all now) and it was somewhat of a competition between us to see who could get more steps, more floors, and the biggest flower.

Review: Stripped by Jasinda Wilder

18108903So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

Stripped is about Grey Amundsen, the pastor's daughter from Georgia who has lived by her Dad's rules her whole life. She is a frustrated good girl that expresses herself through dance.

"I'm the girl who's off-limits. I'm the pastor's daughter."

"No daughter of mine will engage in any such lewd and sinful behavior as dancing… It is gross and immodest and entirely sexual.”

So when something tragic happens in her family she decides to go to collage far away and finally follow her own dreams.

Dawson Kellor - God’s gift to women, is the hot Hollywood playboy that's used to getting want he wants. And he wants is Grey.

"I'm a guy. I pee and I miss the toilet. I take shits. I eat cheeseburgers. I watch baseball and drink beer."

Dawson saw Grey's fear and sensuality when they meet in a strip club. He knew she didn't belong. He is also doesn’t play games with Grey and is very open and honest about his feelings for her. I adored him for showing Grey her worth and how he helped Grey grow as a person.

"You're so fucking gloriously gorgeous that I literally cannot stand it. I'm having to remind myself to keep breathing, because you take my breath away."

The chemistry and heat between them is electric and I loved reading how their relationship developed. I was surprised they didn't jump off the page and consume me!

"You're the best thing that ever happened to me, Dawson Kellor." It's the last lucid thought I can express.

"You've got that backward, love."

I would recommend this to everyone! Jasinda has a way of making you feel like your inside the story at times. She has out done herself again!
